Am working on order form for a new 2017 Ford Super-Duty & option item for "Remote Trailer Camera option" states that it requires "12 pin RV Plug."
New Truck can be ordered w/ 360* viewing & then can add option for 7th camera for trailer; a hard wired camera. Says 12 pins are magnetic inside a weatherproof connection , , , ???

12 pin RV plug is 2(two) plugs on 2017 Super Duty Ford. Standard 7 RV & second for trailer Camera(s) & Trailer Tire monitoring. 7 pin RV on top & Camera/ TPM connection below. No info was available about "'magnetic'" connections.
Test driving per-production 2017 F450, truck would spin all 6 tires anytime due to drive-by-wire & my Neuropathy(T-2 diabetic)! Will need to learn(get) "foot feel" to avoid tickets. Way stronger then 2012 or 2015 6.7s; Engine has several updates, but Auto-Trans. has 20+ up-grades.
Ford is still working on printed GVWR & GCVWR s; w/ DOT, Feds, & Insurance Safety getting involved in Weight Ratings listings, Ford could up their ratings by 18 - 20% meeting new regulations. New ratings don't allow for any engineered Safety Margins. Ford loves safety margins!
