I had a 2003 3500 I loved and then bought a 2008 2500 mega cab 6.7 that the dealer bought back in 2009. I then bought a 2010 2500 Hemi that towed my TT with no problem but now have plans for a toy hauler. I sold that and now own a 2011 2500 6.7 and it's now in the shop with a blown EGR gasket and transmission problems, I'm on day 22 of the repair with no completion date in site. If I reach day 30 without my truck I will file lemon law and move on to another brand. Some are good and some are bad but I've been lucky to have two bad 6.7s.

Sking, that really sucks. I'd be fed up with them too, if that was me. I have to say I've had two 5.9 diesels, and one 2009 Hemi and happy with all of them and twoed with all of them. I will be working mine this next week when I tow my fifth wheel 950 miles. If I have any issues, I'll be up Dodge's butt! Good luck, and I did hear great things about the GMC and there transmission is a proven bus tranny. Ford had tons issues with engine, and trans. They now came out with a brand new engine of their own so beware. Please keep me posted.

Sorry to hear this also, that sucks. I have owned an 96 with the 360, 03 Hemi and my current Dodge 03 Cummins. I didn't have problems with any of them. I had 100,000 on my 96 and 03 and I have almost 118,000 on my Cummins. You must have bad luck. I have always been a Dodge guy and probably will always be unless Dodge screws me over. I think whoever you go with Ford, Chevy, GMC, Dodge they all have their issues, but they all make good trucks. Good luck and I hope Dodge takes care of your problem. I think customer service is the biggest part of it and how they take care of the problems we have with our trucks.

Pick it up tomorrow, was suppose to be today, but dealer had to drive to Orlando from Jacksonville to pick it up. Only place within 200 miles that had what I wanted. Good luck on your trip and keep us informed on how the truck does. Wont get to test mine out until the end of April when we head out to Oklahoma via Texas.

Its ironic, I held out from posting negative about my truck on this thread and the day of my post my truck was ready. I picked it up this evening and everything seems ok within the 15 miles I drove it home.

I don't know what speed you were driving, but I'm one of those aggravating people who drive 55 99.9% of the time. At that speed my 2011 3500 4x2 gets 20+ mpg and 12-13 when towing a CF305SKP. I am very pleased with those numbers!

I'm not sure what your getting at, open ended statement. I'm very happy with my solo MPG considering I was told not to expect anything until it get about 10 K on it. I have only 1K so at 70 on the hwy its great in the hills on VA, PA, etc.

I wasn't "getting at" anything!!! If I drove 70 I would probably get numbers very similar to yours. I simply stated that at 55 I get 20+ running empty.

Well I'll update my post on my 3500 Diesel, the truck tows awsum its a tractor trailer stuck in a PU trk body! The fuel mileage towing was 10 to 12 and thats some huge hills which it never slowed on any of them. 18 solo and I'm told it will get better once its broke in. Lots guys take dpf and egr off and get 22 hi-way and 17 around town. i'll wait and see it has 3600 on it.
