I’m using the Curt Q20 on my short bed Chevy 2500HD with slider. It’s probably a little over kill for my Kingston 35SB but I really like the features and was told there would be less clunking when starting and stopping with this hitch. I think comparatively the Curt is a little on the expensive side but as they say…”you get what you pay for”.

Right now I'm looking at the Reese select 16K. Does anybody use this particular Reese, or, does anybody have any other thoughts/ideas/brands?
Lloyd,
I know your request is a few months old and not sure you've made a choice yet but here's a thread I posted on FTE, Ford Truck Enthusiasts. I didn't need a slider with my long bed but it was available used and for a good price.

See my thread below as It outlines my installation with a heavy duty bracket assembly. The guy I bought the Reese 16k unit from had two small L brackets welded to the frame to secure the rails. It didn't look very beefy and I felt I needed much more support.

I really like this hitch. The slider helps when maneuvering in tight spots and allows me to drop the tailgate and back in without having to raise it back up with the extra clearance.

I hope it helps.

A day late and a dollar short. Maybe more than a day!

Hope it has met your expectations.

The rough roads here in Minnesota are called a cow path because of the condition there in. (Winding and bumpy).

I called them deer paths after a doe this summer decided to test my front quarter panel before bouncing into the doors.
