Thanks...If I got those numbers it would be no problem...6.5 inches between the camper and the bed rails is perfect...

That would make the headlights really high towing at night.

From what I've noticed driving at night is that Ford pickup headlights are aimed too high before loading anything, those you're cussing at to dim their lights is usually a Ford with the dims on.

Maybe aiming them even higher might be a blessing, shining in the treetops.

Well folks finally pulled the trigger and bought the Ford F350 Lariat Power Stroke Dual Wheel pick-up...I have some other stuff to buy before I can hook up to the camper...So won't know how that will go for a little while yet...I just hope this truck is as good as my GMC...That GMC was a good old gal and gave me a great, and pretty care free ride for 10 years...

Congrats on the new truck. Hope you like it as much as I do mine. My DRW has the 410 gear its a stump puller. I pull a 16k RW with a17ft boat hooked up to the RW, at 66mph I get 9.6mpg.

Congrats Tommy! Sounds like quite a truck, but a dully? Sounds to me like maybe there might plans for a new 5th wheel in the future.

No plans at this time for a new 5th wheel, but at least now if that happens I will have the truck to handle it...

Mark
This is not my first Ford...I have owned two in the past...

Congrats from TexUS as well...
if you like it HALF as much as I liked my two 6.7's, you will love it !!!

Excuse the squat on the grey one - first 5'er and hadn't put bags on it yet
(but I blamed the DW's shoe collection in the front closet for that !!! )

Thanks, as I said earlier, if this truck is as good to me as my GMC was I will be more than happy...In reply to your comment about a shoe collection I have to say, you have quite the collection of recreational vehicles there...

When I first got my F350 I thought the headlights were high. Is this typical? I don't even think they hit the road.

You of all people should know that I am technically challenged, all the links and the logo that is on the "NorthEast Crossroads Rally" lead post is there because you put them on there for me...Besides I am tooooo busy reading the manual for all the stuff on this truck that I have no idea how to access or work...So with that being said I will send you some pictures in a cell phone message because I do know how to do that...

If you'll notice while travelling that most Ford pickups regardless of rv size/weight are/look squatted, those that look level most likely have air bags or some other suspension mods to prevent the squat. Therefore between the headlights aimed too high to begin with & the rv squat now the headlights are best suited for squirrel hunting or shining in other drivers eyes.
