And a 4" block instead of 2" block in rear. That's it but it has different towing and payload wright ratings. Unless your location penalizes you on registration for higher towing capacity rated trucks (some do) you are always better to have a 350 for max towing capacity even though the two are virtually identical.

Plus tires and wheels at a minimum. Otherwise the 350 wouldn't have higher GVWR and GAWR ratings

Not necessarily...
It really is just a 'tax avoidance' rating...
in some of the more communistic states,
they tax MUCH heavier if your gvwr is 10k+ lbs, so the 250 is rated at 9900 for that reason alone.
Ford was smart enough to do that so more buyers would buy them
There's nothing to stop you from paying for the higher rating at the tax office like I did for mine so I would be 'closer to legal' for the large redwood 5'er we towed.
(actually a very helpful lady @ the tax office that towed a 5'er with a 250 suggested that when I said I was going to have to get a new truck for the new heavier 5'er !)

I agree taxes are a big factor, but there is still a significant technical difference. F250 comes standard with tires rated at 3042 lbs while the F350 has higher rates tires. The F250 can be optioned to include the higher capacity tires or owner can go aftermarket. Otherwise many fivers will have loaded pin weights that result in exceeding the tire rating of the stock F250. This is unlawful regardless of licensed GVWR

The other difference is that an F-250 comes with a short bed as standard equipment and the F-350 comes with a long bed. If you want a long bed on an F-250 you'll need to order it from the factory.
I have a Reese 16K slider hitch on my 2015 F-250. I contemplated going with the long bed F-350 but my CR dealer talked me out of it. With the rounded front end on the CR ST 5th wheel, turning radius is no longer an issue like it was on my Forest River Wildwood 5th wheel which had a flat, none-rounded nose.

We bought an F250 with a long box last June in Collingwood, ON and it was on the lot. We did not order it from the factory.

I was considering a long bed f-250 and my dealer said I had to order one with that option from the factory. Your fortunate in ON that your truck came that way!

Before retirement every truck we got at work was a F250 with a long bed from the leasing company, no doubt they were special order cause we're the most stripped down, no frills thing you could imagine.

Not true, my 250 4x4 has the same spring pack as a 350 4x2. Everything on a 250 and 350 are the same except the springs, but they use the spring packs in different combinations. 250 ,350 and 350 DRW use the same motor, trans, frame, brake the SRW's even use the same tires and wheels 250 and 350.

My 350 platinum listed for 63+ and got it for just over 50 - so truck month (right now ) is the time to buy and negotiate !
