Thanks to all the folks that replied to my query.
I guess what is bothering me is that when we put the trailer on the truck atthe dealers (it is a one ton dually)just to seewhat kind of a drop we would need, the truck didn't really go down noticeably. We have towed bumper pulls before that were 30 feet and always had WD hitches and sway control (wouldn't pull without them). What is puzzling tous is the dry weight vs the loaded weight difference. I can't conceive of loading this 20 foot trailer with 3000 pounds of cargo. Don't know where I could put it. Guess that I will just have to see what happens when I tow it home from the dealer. Does anyone have experience with this particular ST20CK?
Thanks again. Yellowstone Bill

As far as loading it, most don't put 3000 lbs in a TT. The average camper tends put in approx 1000-1500 lbs. You will not know exactly how much you put in unless you weigh it empty and loaded for accurate numbers. Weigh your truck with and without the TT on it to know exactly how much weight you took off your front axle and put on your rear axle also. Find out exactly what your hitch ratings are for weight carrying and weight distributing. Once you know all of these factors then you can give yourself a truly educated answer and not one based on the opinions of the forum.
