There should be a label on the RV that gives you the Gross Vehicle weight. This is not the actual weight but rather the maximum of the unit plus all the stuff you put in it. I did a quick Google search on Rushmore Lincoln and saw one that had a GVWR of 15,500. So, you need to match your fifth wheel hitch to that at a minimum. There are a number of reputable brands. I am a B&W fan. Check this web site:

Of course you need to make sure your truck has enough towing capacity as well. Hope this helps.

Hi Desiree. What truck do you have? Do you know if it has a factory prep? Once you pick a hitch make sure you select the model for your truck. The B&W fits my Dodge puck system perfectly.

No problem. if you need anything else just ask. All the numbers are confusing.

One more piece of advice, dont buy the hitch from an RV Dealer. They will over charge you. Take your truck to a reputable truck accessory place and have the hitch work done. You may also want to think about installing the trailer electrical connector inside the truck bed.

It is very simple plug and play. Just get the kit that matches you truck year, make and model. Easy DIY. The RV dealer will charge you out the ears.
