I don't have a "new" HEMI but I can say my 2004 5.7 HEMI has been great. Plenty of power and we have towed our 33ft 5th wheel everywhere in the lower 48 with it. My dad have an 2003 GMC with the 8.1 and allison tranny and loved it. It had "diesel power" and the tranny was bullet proof. He pulled a 37ft Jayco Designer with it. I know these are older but I guess my point is the gassers can pull too. That being said, my next truck will be another Ram but it will be the Cummins.
