My '11 F-250 squats badly

My '11 F-250 squats badly with my trailer hooked up and no Equalizer bars. Around 800# tounge. If I put the equalizer bars up, it drops about 2". I'm putting in an add-a-leaf, which raises back end 2". Only have 2 leafs currently. Hoping it fixes my squat. A lot of F-250 guys complain about the squat, Ford softened up the rear for a better ride it appears.

Why not go with spring helpers. They sit about a half inch above the axle, so your unloaded ride stays soft, but when you put a load on the truck, then they help keep the rear from squatting.

Truck needs rake. With full tank of gas, nose sits a little high. So will hopefully fix that and not sag as much.

If that was a construction truck, the springs have probably had a pretty good work out in it's life time.

I prefer the Roadmaster Active Suspension over the air bags. No need to deflate and inflate the bags. It also helps prevent side to side sway that the air bags don't help.

This is what I want to look at getting. My F-250 has a slight front to back rake anyway. I think from the lift on the front when oversize tires were put on. Supposed to raise the back an inch according to the video. That would level it out plus the added benefit of sway control. Air Bags will not help with sway. I had them on my last truck.

I would not go with the generic 2" add a leaf spring. If I wanted to keep a fair ride and increase payload with fixing the spring pack. I would find a spring shop and have them make a full length spring to add under the main leaf spring.
I have had this done before. The ride was not noticeably different. It did raise the rear back up. But the big gain was in payload. We had this problem on a Hummer H3. It could not support our old pop up. Made a huge difference before it went on a 2500 mile trip thru Colorado.

I was surprised it cost less than $250 installed with new U-bolts.

Air bags would be my second choice.

The 11' F250 came with a 2 inch axle spacer vs the 4 inch spacer that came on the F350. The 4" spacer is an easy install and less than $80 iirc. Now you have an F350 without the overload spring (unless you have the camper pkg, then you already have the extra leaf springs)

If you want to fix the rear from swaying. Add a sway bar or a panhard bar

I'll post pics of before and after once I get my 2" add-a-leaf. 2 leafs from the factory is just weak.

Issue is not with swaying. Already have the Equalizer and the F-250 has built in Sway Control. Just don't like the rear squatting down.

With my fresh water tank 50% full, my tongue weight is 800#.

Even with a full tank of gas and no trailer, the rear end looks like it's lower than the front. Definitely want the rear up higher, so hoping the add-a-leaf is my answer.

That does not look unacceptable to me. Could be just the pics. Your trailer looks to be fairly level too.
