My new to me tow vehicle

Finally pulled the trigger and replaced my '03 Ram 2500 5.9 CTD with a '12 F250 SD Lariat CC 6.7 PSD. I will be installing the hitch in the bed in a week or so and pull the trailer home from the campground at the end of the season. Hopefully it pulls as well as they say it should.

Johnboytoo - Yes it's a short bed. I do have a slider hitch if I should ever need it. With the new trailer I never had to use it when I towed with my old Ram 2500 SB. Hopefully I have the same luck with this truck.

That looks like a standard bed to me. I didn't think Ford put short beds on crew cab F250s, only standard and long beds.

Actually only thought there were two - a short and long.... never heard of a third choice when I bought my two 'short bed' crew cabs

Nice looking truck!! You'll find it has more power than you need.

Ford only offers the 6'9" box (short) and the 8' box as options on the F250/F350 SD trucks. We have never needed to use the slider but have it just in case. The new trailer design with the rounded nose allows for very tight turns with only a 6'9" box.

The F150 has three box options. 5'6", 6'6" and 8' boxes.
