For my "learn something new everyday" policy - Are the rims the same for the P and LT tires? Just wandering about the higher pressure.

Shop said rims are okay. Thanks all for replies.

I'm due for shoes, and have decided on the AT3 XLT. Are you happy with them?
I'm going with 275/70's (E). I would expect them to be around 80PSI like my current Michelins.

Not crazy about an AT tire. Rides a little rough and you will get better mileage with a HT tire.

Mark if I had a 1/2 ton truck I would have gone with the HT but with a 3/4 ton it rides like a truck so the AT did not affect the ride. And where we live the extra traction helps.

Not sure about other brands/tires, but have had the Cooper AT3 XLT for a week. They ride as good as OE Michelin's and look awesome. Installer put front at 65/rear at 70.

I’ll be doing the same soon. Last three sets have been LTX AT2’s LT rated. Have 154k kilometres on them. Pretty well evenly worn as I rotate them twice a year.

Correct me if I'm wrong but these Michelin tires have 154000 kilometers on them ? We put on 3 sets of new tires on our vehicle and it only has 137000 kilometers.

Yep, 154k. Put them on in June 2014. Tires have 5-6mm left for tread. They were a little iffy last winter. You really notice the wear difference before rotation. That’s why I rotate them. So the 1200 bucks CDN I spent was well worth it. They’re around 1400 now.

I prefer Goodyear Wrangler Fortitude HT highway tires because they are not comfortable for both snowy and wet seasons. Toyo is also a good option, especially for off-road travellers.

Had good luck with Firestone Transforce HT. They been on for 2 years now and show minimum wear.
