Towing a sunset trail reserve 28bh

Hello everyone I am new to the crossroads family. We just purchased a 2015 sunset trail reserve 28bh and will be towing with a 2015 ram 1500 sport with factory air ride. Wondering if anyone has a similar set up. I also have a centerline ts hitch. Any comments would be helpful.

Welcome Adam,

I have a Crossroads Sunset Trail Reserve 26RB and its towed by a 2016 Toyota Tundra, 4X4, got an Equalizer Hitch. We must be close in weight and towing capability. Ive only had the camper out once since it was purchased a month ago, can't wait for good weather... Got a couple trips planned in March and April...

eh...everyone knows a Dodge can't tow s***

Sounds like a good setup. You have the 5.7L I hope. I was going to buy a Centerline, but found a great deal on a used Equalizer.

5.7L

I do have the 5.7L, this is my second Tundra, love em... they are great trucks, fuel mileage sucks but you don't buy trucks to get great MPG, if you do, you don't tow anything...

I do have the 5.7, 8 speed. The 28bh weighs 6,600 dry. ram says towing is good up to 9,950 with the short bed and air ride. Haven't towed it yet expecting delivery in a couple weeks. I was towing a 24' and gas milage was down to 12.

I'd really be curious to see your scaled weights especially tongue weight with WD hitch. I am about ready to purchase a 2016 ST28BH as well. We just bought a 2015 F-150 XLT max tow so we are curious to see "Realistic" tongue weights. =)
