Truck Rating
Am I correct in assuming that a Ford F250 is a 3/4 ton and a Ford F350 is a 1 ton truck? Long time since I bought a new truck.

Some of us slightly more "mature" people still call them that, but Ford and the industry do not. The 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton and 1 ton nomenclatures are long gone. They use to refer to payloads back in the day, but that doesn't apply anymore. You won't see any manufacturer refer to their trucks by those names because they don't apply anymore. In reality, the F350 has close to a 2 ton payload so 1 ton doesn't really apply.

WWW has it right...
hard to say what the 'tonnage' is on a vehicle as it depends on what GVWR the particular truck has ...
IIRC the 350 has ratings from 10000 to 11,500 gvwr in the SRW...

1/2 ton 3/4 ton and 1 ton ratings are old nomenclature for pickups. Example: my 1/2 ton Ford F150 has a payload of around 2400 lbs. I'm sure it's the same for other models and brands also. Check out the brands website for actual numbers.
