what does everyone use for anti-sway

I noticed earlier this year some scary episodes with the trailer swaying. the hitch that came with our slingshot was the husky weight distribution system with the typical anti sway bar. After adjusting it many times I decided to upgrade the hitch system to the husky ts centerline. this seems to have reduced most of the sway but not all of it. Just wondering what everyone else uses and if they have had any sway issues.

Best is the ProPride 3, then the Hensley Arrow. If I owned a TT, I would not use anything but the best. When things get squirrely it is too late.

Fastway e2. Weight distribution with 2-point sway control. Seems to tamp down the bounce and shut down the sway before either gets uncomfortable. Easy on/off, don't have to remove for tight turning in reverse. DIY installation took about an hour with adjustable wrenches. Have readjusted it since with proper sockets and that took less than 10 minutes.

I use a equalizer 14000lbs hitch. IMO equalizer is the way to go for load and sway control.

X2 on the ProPride system. I would be the first person to say I made a bad purchase or I overspent on snake oil technology, but I've been in a nasty situation with it and it pulled straight and stable. Actually had a trailer on the other side of the highway jack-knifed in the median while driving in the same storm we got hit with. Not a pretty site.

Pulling my second trailer with the system and never had a white knuckler..knock on wood. Just checked my odometer last week, we're talking about 15,000 miles towing mostly highway travel with this hitch. I've had triples fly by me going 80 on the turnpike and my trailer never flinches.

I've heard the Hensley has similar results. Actually Jim Hensley designed the ProPride system.

Plus it makes setup/hitching a breeze. I've hazard to guess it has saved me hours of time hitching/unhitching from my previous system for those quick overnight stops on long trips. (remove friction bars to back into campsite even if we were not unhitching for the night, etc).

It is one of those "premium" purchases I've made that I can say has actually paid off. Plus the service from the ProPride has been awesome. I am guessing I've talked to the owner everytime I've had a technical question...which brings me to the only downside of this hitch. It requires clearances on the A-frame of the front of the trailer that many of the newer travel trailers don't have due to the "bubble" design of the front caps. A good rule of thumb is if your propane tanks are enclosed in the cap, you are probably out of luck using the ProPride.

I have only owned 1 so I can't say its the best, but the equalizer works great for me.

I run a Reese SC series, 15,000 & 1500TW. I also have around 1400 lbs TW but have never had any sway at all, very impressed with this unit.

Equalizer 4 Point

We use the Equilizer 4 point and love it. No sway problems.. They have excellent customer service and stand behind it. I recently bought a 3/4 ton Silverado and needed to change the shank to compensate for the height difference of my 1/2 ton Silverado. I contacted them and they told me what I needed and walked me thru installing and adjusting it. The secret is to set the hitch head height and transfer enough weight to the front axle . Not hard to do and satisfied with it

Used the Equal-I-Zer on three rigs over six years. Never a problem, never a white knuckle even in the notorious springtime New Mexico winds and passing 18 wheelers.

x4 on Equalizer. It does make some noise in the campground, but 18 wheelers roll by and I don't even notice.

I gotta say, I did a ton of research on this topic, and ultimately decided to take a gamble on a new product and it has been fantastic. It is the Recurve R6 by Camco. 4 Reasons why I opted for this over others such as the Equalizer, or Pro-Pride.

Reason 1: Cost
Reason 2: Noise
Reason 3: Ease of install/use
Reason 4: Sway Control automatically disengages when backing up.

The Cost is $400, there is virtually no noise because the bars are not grinding when turning as they are stationary. There are a grand total of 6 bolts to tighten, 2 for the head, and 2 for each of the brackets. After 10 degrees of turn the sway control disengages off the cams so backing up is a cinch.

I installed this unit in about 30 minutes on the dealer lot when I purchased our trailer in June. Here's a video to give you an idea.

Glad I'm not the only one who went the equalizer route. Around here it's pretty much all that I ever see. I didn't even know about the Propride hitch to be honest but it isn't in my price range to begin with, looks amazing tho.

My first trailer tow so I researched thoroughly. Went with the Equalizer and haven't regretted it. I wouldn't know what trailer sway is.
