I think you will have to supply more info before we can make any suggestions.
What are you planning to pull it with?

I have the 6 1/2 ft. bed also. I have a Reese 16K slider.
I wish I had done a little more research before buying it. If I had, I would have bought something that the jaws circled the pin better/more.
There is a lot of noise back there coming from the pin inside the the jaws on this Reese.

There has been a lot of controversy on that one. Some say it will void your warranty. Some say it puts to much stress and strain the the frame on the 5th wheel.
If you do a search on the forum you probably will come up with those topics.

I am sorry you take off your pin box and install a new pin box. It is made by Reese. Called a goose box. Not a adapter.

I have the "Goosebox" and love it. I rarely feel the trailer behind the truck, including crossing over railroad tracks. We have traveled about 13,000 miles with ours and it still functions great. You will have to add safety chains.

We have the 30bh and have a 2015 Chevrolet 4 door crew cab short bed. Not sure of the length of the bed (but can measure Saturday) and have slider hitch but have never used it. I am certain there is a use for sliders, but knowing what I know now I would not have spent the money. You may have to make an extra point in your turn and watch your back glass, but you should do that any way!!

Thomas C was the goosebox easy to install? Does it give you more distance from the camper?

What's nice about the Pull rite Superslide is that it's all done automatic. No getting out to throw lever, hitch and get back inside. I have a short-bed ford and would not be without the Superslide. By the time you buy the goosebox and such, you're near the cost of the Superslide. Like I said before, make it part of your deal with the dealer. I know of many that got the hitch for free or at least for half price when they bought their rv

Mark5W I have a BW gooseneck in the the truck already. From what I have read the slide rite is a rail system. If I'm wrong please tell me. If it is a rail system, I will not be able to use it. Looking for the best thing to use, but not break the bank.

I bought the Goosebox through Amazon.com and had it shipped to my dealer for installation. I don't know if it adds any length over the traditional 5th wheel hitch. I checked today and it measures 17" to the center of the ball from the front edge of the pin box. Also, if you decide on the Goosebox make sure it is compatible with the frame model of your trailer, or you may have to order the adapter. I have a 2013 CF335SS and did not need the adapter.

Update

I go to inspect and sign on my camper Tuesday. I hope everything goes good. When I was called for the for the order, there had been some confusion on what I was getting in my camper as of upgrades. They didn't have the camper I want at the RV show. The sales person said to go to there store and see the it there. The camper in question was pulled from the show at the last minute. We drive to the store( same day as show). Are sales person said someone there would take us to the camper. We go see it, it has everything we want. When the guy that orders the campers called to go over everything before he places the final order I ask him to up grade the jacks to power in the back. I ask him about other upgrades available. He said tri- fold couch in bunk house. I said that was in the camper in looked at. He said I looked at the wrong camper. The one at the show was not showed to us. . So we upgraded to the couch (500 and some plus 250 for jacks). We went to the show to save 2000. And I don't know what else might be different. I feel like a bate and switch. So Tuesday I mite be asking for the general manager. We were so happy. But know afraid to go see it.

I have a B&W and bought the B&W companion slider to go with it. Works great, and no rails. It is heavy to take in and out, I use my tractor to make it easy on me.
