211rd and gorilla tape

Third time out, a short trip to a campground 23 miles away and my 6 month old 211rd starts falling apart less than 10 miles from storage.
The section if lower front metal just starts pulling apart. I limp it to the park at 45 and head to Wal-Mart looking for gorilla tape to hold it together.
I am not amused.

Wow. What a let down. I’m so sorry for you. Hopefully you can get it temporarily fixed and protected from the weather until you can have it repaired.

Hope to get it to dealer Thursday

Talked to the service department. Gotta love RV places. Sales is open to 6 and on Saturdays.
Service is open to 5 p.m. and not on Saturdays.
It's like can we come up with some hours that would make it even harder on the customer to use our service department. But if you want to buy a camper, we will make it as easy as possible.
That Gorilla tape will be tested on the short drive from the park to the dealer - about 50 miles.

A roll of gorilla tape, never leave home without it. That stuff is awesome.

That set aside, I would be (moderator edit) about that falling off of my new trailer. But I'm not shocked.

Staff at the dealership was...1) impressed with the gorilla tape and 2) shocked at my trailer issue as it was one none of the guys had seen before.
Lucky me.
Their sign in the service department indicated vehicles dropped off this week should be completed by first week of December.

I'm with markandkin, never leave without gorilla tape. Also coat hanger, popcicle stick and paper clip. These trailers are flimsy. At least my 211rd hasn't shed it's skin yet. Good luck. Please let us know how it turns out.

Well got my trailer back from dealer today. Looks better. Seems the factory worker installing the front panels missed something like 8 or so screws. Hope he didn't work on the rest of the trailer.
Dealer also said that the factory did not caulk or seal around the tub.

Glad you got it back! A month...not too bad either. Why can’t these dealerships do a thorough job...eight screws...come on man!

It was the manufacturing company that messed up.

I have heard that when they get a predetermined number of units out the door for the day they GO HOME...If that is true NOT really conducive for QUALITY in your product...

Check your history books...If there were no unions there would not have been a middle class in this country...Not a lecture just a fact...

Just glad you got it repaired quickly and yes that gorilla tape is good stuff. I keep it in my unit too. As far as manufacturers that make Rv’s. Their all the same for the most part. Rush them out the door for a profit as quickly as they can. But that’s the business part of it. The all mighty dollar is their goal. Nothing else. Sadly if someone tried to make a top line Rv, they’d sadly go out of business because everyone would be buying the better deal and not willing to pay for the top dollar unit. Well I’ll correct myself and say most would.
