Black tank flush

Has anyone had trouble w/ there crossroads trailer having the black tank flush line kinked? I bought a 2013 25rb sunset trail and used the black tank flush and had water all over my bathroom floor coming from under my sink so I bought a new brass vacuum breaker and tried using the tank flush again but no water was spraying into the tank. I then cut open a section of the underbelly b/c I thought the tank rinse was clogged up but what I found out is the water line to the tank rinser was kinked. In my opinion this was a really bad design on crossroads part b/c they pulled the water line to tight and caused a kink in the hose where the hose bends to go under the black tank.

Yep, I have heard of that before. Also the anti siphon valve is sometimes installed backwards.

I have a 2013 25rb also and had a kink in the black tank hose right near the tank also. I added 2 ft of hose with a coupler so there was a nice easy curve in the hose and works nice now. Do not put full water pressure on. and make sure the vacuun break is tight ....mine was hand tight only.
On top of that ,I also had a kink in the water pump hose right at the exit near the tank...some bonehead decided to pull the hose tight when he/she hooked up the pump.
(pics 1 and 2 are before and after black tank...and 3 and 4 are before and after of water tank)

Mine was kinked so bad even after I got a few more inches of hose pulled under it had a permanent crease in the hose. Works better than it did but still not 100% water flow.

Cut about 3" off the end to get rid of the kink and add 2' of hose. hardware stores have a 1/2" plastic coupler to join them.

We just purchased a new 2017 33BH and our black tank flush has never worked. It's currently at the dealer we purchased it from and they are having trouble figuring it out. I'm going to tell them about the kink and have them check the other places too. Thanks guys!

Good job Harley

Gentlemen,

I have a 2017 291RL and I feel I should have one of these back flush ports but for the life of me I can't find it.....

Am I being exceptionally dense (maybe denser) or what.

I don't recall one being pointed out on the walk through with the after sale technical guy, but that doesn't mean he didn't.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

look on the side f the trailer ,or the back. it will look like the city water connection. Just loooks like the female end of a garden hose. Should have a screw in cap .

Thanks Harley,

I just inspected every square inch of our rig and there is no obvious flush connection port.

On one side I have the city water in, and on the other a port to fill my freash water tank, both clearly labelled by the mfr.

I guess they chose to save a couple of bucks by omitting what might have been 5 feet of hose and two connections, one to the tank and one to hook a hose up to. Oh well.

Thanks for the suggestion anyway, safe travels, and of course Season's Greetings.

You can purchase one online fairly cheap and install it yourself,

Thanks Mark,

For under $30 and I can get it before Christmas...excellent.

Now all I've got to do is find the black tank and a hole saw....

(I know where my hole saws are, but the entire underbelly of our TT has a skin on it, not something I relish trying to remove to expose the tanks.)

Sounds like a Summer job to me.

Thanks again.

My son bought one of these kits, and we installed it on his Avenger last year before they took it on its maiden trip. It was an easy installation on a brand new tank.
