Detailing the rig
What does everyone use to wax? Fixing to get the Rushmore detailed. Looking for opinions on the best products.

IMHO you can spend a lot of $$ on products online, but I use Turtle Wax Ice & have had good results. It's easy to apply, it's a polymer, it's readily available anywhere, & doesn't leave annoying white residue in all the cracks/crevices.

I absolutely LOVE Armor All Dust and Dirt repelling wax. Comes in a black bottle (Looks like a Heinz Ketchup bottle, only it is black) It is packaged in a yellow box with an applicator pad and a microfiber towel. Wipe it on, wipe it off. You don't even have to go in circles. It even works great on plastics, rubber, dashboards, leather seats, seals and anything that traditional armor all works on, only it lasts and lasts. Turns faded black plastic black again.. I guess I now know what I will be doing on Sunday...
It also lasts a LOOOOONG time before you need to reapply.

Is there value in using an orbital buffer? Never tried one, worried i might mess up the paint.

The buffers you get at the auto parts stores or at Walmart are really of no benefit. They are not really buffers but rather random orbit wax applicators. They will not hurt the finish. If there is some dirt that didn't come off with washing, it might help you mudge it off.
If you are talking about a real orbital buffer, those require a great deal of experience and skill. They are designed for buffing out damage and will burn the paint and decals off of your coach in a heartbeat if used improperly. I don't think that your camper is the place to learn to use one of those.
I suppose the random orbit waxers from the auto parts store might make it a little easier to do the "wax-on/wax-off" thing and you will get a nice hand massage in the process but they aren't worth the 20 to 30 dollars you will spend on it... Plus, the heads break off of them way too easily. Those do not spin, rather they vibrate in a tiny circle.

Another vote for Liquid Ice. I used to use Zaino on my truck and it worked great. But even though I only used it once about every 2-3 yrs it was still a lot to do, clean, then pre-wax, then wax, then buff. I would never attempt to use it one the fiver, way too much of a job. I figure with Liquid Ice, I will wax both fiver and truck more often, so it is better in the long run. Have done the fiver twice and the truck 3 times in the past few years.

After washing the truck I use Turtle Wax Wax & Dry you just mist it on while towel drying & it's waxed when dry, works on glass, plastic, chrome been using it for 4-5 years & works great.
