Hubby tried the wax and we have a bug collection to show for it, we are currently in Edmonton, AB, heading to Dawson Creek tomorrow. We will look for a bug screen for the truck to protect the rads while there.
Did you not think you would find bugs on a trip like that?
Or, are you saying you have them because hubby put wax on the trailer?
You haven't seen bugs on a rv front til you've been to east Texas during Love Bug season, you'll need a snow scoop & a fire hose. I've had to stop every 10-20 miles & scrap them off the windshield with an ice scraper to see. If it doesn't have a fresh got of some kind of wax/polish/polymer they may be permanent!! Soaking with Simple Green & scrubbing is the only way to get them off that doesn't take all day.
Here's a follow up to the bug issue. My husband applied wax to the front cap and we had very few bugs on the trailer. There were quite a few on the truck, however. So the wax worked.
Just as an aside, we saw way fewer mosquitoes on our Alaska trip than we normally see at home.
