Black streaks
Is there a black streak remover that won't take the wax off your rig? I always used Simple Green on my old rig but I suspect that it was the culprit that caused my decals to start to detach. Don't want to make the same mistake on this "new" rig.

turtle wax,or similar, spray wax. It is a mixture of a bit of wax and water and is an easy on/easy off. Used it for years on trailer and boat.

Have used Simple Green for years with no decal issues. Had rig washed by a fellow that added bleach to the soapy water & within a week decals began to curl. After washing I use Turtle Wax Wax & Dry to wipe down especially he decals, spray it on, wipe it off.

All great recommendations here based on experience.
Just a note. You will have to wax after using any solution that removes black streaks.
When travelling, I carry a can of this around to do spot clean ups on streaks. Its is a cleaner/wax. Someone, I believe one of the mods on this forum recommended it a few years ago and I bought half a case. still have it. Just do not use it on the decals. I use 303 to clean/protect those.

I've used the Aero Wash Wax All for years (not for the black streaks) and it works and holds up great on ours! Even after sitting in Fort Wilderness for 2 weeks the grime just rinses off.... Roof is another story after leaving there but that's the price you pay to have fun.

Thanks for the replies. I've used the Aero Wax but didn't particularily care for it. I use 303 on the decals and everything on the truck. I use the polymer based "wax" that is in the orange bottle at Walmart and everywhere else; can't remember the name of it. I've used it for years on the RV and all vehicles. It seems to last 4-6 months.

I can't say that it will.
I had a couple big globs of pine pitch on my truck that I didn't catch right away and they hardened. I used a Q-tip and carefully applied 70% Isopropyl Rubbing alcohol to the top portion of the glob. I did this several times (not getting in a hurry) so the alcohol could soak in. I think they sat over night then the next day rubbed them off with a rag and the alcohol.
No damage to the finish.
The solvit will take the black streaks off and not do any damage to the wax job.

I used turpentine to get the pine off. Just a little on a rag. It worked great and quickly. Then I washed the area down with rv wash and water.

This morning I noticed a glob of pitch running down a window of my RV. I can only imagine what a summer under the pines is going to do to the roof of my camper.

Guess just a bit more details like surfaces & what it can be used on & such Is it a concentrate you mix or is ready to be used? Just the basics. I have a new camper last year & it was starting to show a little streaking so I want to keep ahead before they get bad & I cant get them off. Just cautious I guess, Do you use this? I see a lot of mention about the decals & such is this on on those or not to be used on them.
Thanks

It comes as a powder. They have directions on the side for mixing with water.
I have used it for years on the camper. All the way from the roof down. We even use it for things inside the camper.
My wife uses it in the house for different things, including the toilet bowel.
The last time I ordered, I found out the company had been sold, but they were still taking individual orders. It smells different and has a little different color to it. but seems to work the same as far as we can tell.
The biggest plus it gets from me is it doesn't take the wax off your camper like spic and span will.
