Placed a deposit on a new CP 335SS yesterday. Would appreciate any suggestions of what to look for during the Pre=delivery inspection. Have you had warranty issues and, if so, were they resolved in a timely manner. We are new to RVing and appreciate any feedback you have to offer.

Pete&Maggie:

Welcome to the CrossRoads family and the forum. We have a 2011 335SS and we really do like it. We have had some warranty issues, replaced axles and refrigerator, and they were taken care of in a very timely manner. When you take delivery make sure that they take their time and explain how everything works. That includes any remotes, Intelli-jacks, fireplace, etc. Much easier to get things done while at the dealership than to have to take it back for repairs.

If you do a search for PDI you will most likely find a thread that discusses what to do and provides a link to a downloadable list of things to check.

Also, don't hesitate to ask questions. There are lots of folks on this forum who willingly share their knowledge and wisdom.

Hi. Welcome and corgrats on the the new unit. George has given you good input. You made your choice go have your fun. No RV is perfect, even high end units can have problems. Use as often as you can to discover any issues underwarranty. Do a through PDI and do not accept the unit until you are completely satisfied. It is an excitingexperience, enjoy!
Happy Trails Go Well.

Take a vedio camera with you and film the dealer as he goes through all the systems with you. That way you can replay it if you
forget something. It's a lot of info and hard to remember everything, and easier than reading instructions As they can be vague

Welcome to the forun, good luck with the new camper, be safe, and most of allENJOY

Look this over and see if it's something you might want to print out and take with you when you do your PDI.

Run all the slides in and out with you on the outside checking the seals and how they go out/in.

The bed slide - make sure it goes in and out at a constant speed and check for proper sealing. They fixed the design flaw on the 2012s but I would make sure there are no issues with the bed slide going out and in.

Check the countertops for scratches and make them buff them out if there are scratches.

Make sure you have all of the remotes - took 6 months to get the remote for our fire place.

Make sure the free standing table is properly secured.

Check the operation of all of the jacks.

Give everything a close examination - and if possible perform the PMI prior to signing the papers - they will be more apt to fix the issues prior to taking delivery of the unit.
