Anyone have a 2016 CrossRoads Rezerve RFZ-31BH

I am thinking of getting a New Fifth Wheel - 2016 CrossRoads Rezerve RFZ-31BH

Anyone have one? How do you like it?

We don't have a 5er, however our Rezerve TT is everything we could have hoped for. Another foot or two longer would have given us just a little more room, but I wanted to keep it as close to what I was use to towing and that was a total of 29 feet.
Our last new trailer was a 2003 so I guess that's not even a fair comparison, but I would recommend a Rezerve to my own mother.

Well bought it and towed it home/ to the campsite last friday. So far I'm liking it. I have a few things to fix and a few things we want to change. Towed decent. Just a little heavier then what the truck likes. It handles the weight fine just needs more power.

I am looking at a TT version. What things did you end up fixing or changing? Any different opinion or discoveries since you have had it (its been another 7 months).

Some of the trim work in the bunk house for the lower slide out mattress was not attached good and will pull right off.
The AC duct going to the front bed room had a hole that was blowing into the skylight and roof.
Where the AC goes thru the roof the two air passages (Hot/Cold air) was not sealed good and the air was mixing and not cooling as good as possible.

I would have ordered it with out skylights if I did not get such a good price on the one on the lot. I did pull down the inside skylight covers and used some dark tint to help reduce the inside temperature. The single AC unit did keep the unit comfortable but it was running almost constantly before I fixed the ducting and added the tint.

I wish it had the 50 amp service and second AC prep. Now we are moving a little farther south and it may be needed.

I can see the issue with the lower slide out, mine already seems to always come out crooked but I haven't seen any trim issues there. I will have to look into the skylights issue, mine also has them as well. Thanks for the response.

We have the same fifth wheel also. Love the trailer, but having a few issues with it. Its in at the dealer now getting warranty work done on it. The biggest issue is not CrossRoads fault at all the motor on the Lippert awning failed within 3 months of ownership. Luckily i found it doing the spring check up, and had a ladder tall enough to manually retract the awning. Second issue the front white LED strip on the front cap. The LED lights still work well, but the rubber is falling apart. Dealer told me this is the first time they have seen it here in New Mexico. Are you guys having any issues with the rubber on the LED strip in the front?

My TT went to the shop last week for....

1) trim piece
2) rear door retaining plug pulled out
3) outdoor kitchen support broke, causing counter/fridge to sag

2016 Rezerve 31BH

This is our second season in ours and so far, no errors/faults from the factory.
However, the A/C doesn't seem to cut it on days above 82 degrees. I think mostly from the skylight-why they insist on these I don't understand. I have fashioned a sunblock made from a floor rug with velcro strips on 8 areas around the edges and stuck to the frame of the skylight. We were looking for anything as a quick stopgap solution and found a cheap little rug in the exact colors that matched our interior. This has seemed to make some difference. The A/C runs from breakfast until 10:30 pm and then it will maintain. When it's above 90 degrees it's not worth going-even here in NE Iowa!

Now, I don't want to give the impression that we're unhappy overall, we love it! I've added a few mods: "puck" lights in the linen closet; shower rod that is 3 piece and will expand the area in the shower so that a 6 foot man can shower comfortably. Probably more I've forgotten too.

The outside galley has been a blessing as the kids can get into the fridge outside with having to come in and let the cold air out

I'm also going to try that satellite/cable wiring mod I've found on this forum.

Winterizing was interesting as the water heater instructions are lacking but thru trial and error I've marked a valve or 2 so that I know which to open/close for winter/spring.

Overall we're very happy and our grand kids love it too!

Joepanther, there's been a lot of discussion about A/C units and their efficiency. Seems like a lot has to do with poor seals at junctions for vents and the unit itself to the ducts. Many have fixed the issues themselves and have had good results I've been fortunate and mine seem fine, but the dealer did reattach one vent duct that wasn't pushing air. I suggest if you haven't already, do a search on this forum for A/C problems. The should be several recent threads.

Steve7, thanks for the reply! I've seen a couple of posts regarding that since I posted earlier. Hopefully I won't have to tear the whole thing apart and reinvent the wheel to track down ductwork . I'll do some more research.
Thanks again!!
