Hill Country Edition sewer hose

We went to 4 different dealers on Saturday looking for our first trailer. The last stop was where we saw the Crossroads Hill Country Edition. It was the only trailer we looked at that made us say WOW. Not surprising that we pick it up on Friday. Anyways, I know they will probably tell me the answer to this question on Friday but its bugging me not knowing and I forgot to ask the sales guy. Where is everyone storing their sewer hose and water hoses?

Welcome to the CR family and this forum. I do mine differently than most, but it makes more sense to me. I have a 4 foot section of PVC pipe with screw caps on each end. I keep my Rhino hose in there. I have 2 separate Rubbermaid HD totes and in one I have all my sewer parts and a hose for the flush tank.In the other I have my clean water hoses and my water filter and cartridges. Whenever I get home from camping I take the tote with the sewer parts and the PVC pipe and fill them with water and 2 cups of Clorox. I close them and let them set a few hours and then I flush it all out and I'm clean and hygienic again A little extra work but I know it's all clean and I don't ever worry about "odors" when I store the unit.

I used a square plastic "fence post" from Menards. (Kind of like Lowes/Home depot.)
I strapped it up cross ways under the 5er with a door on one end. Some of the other guys have went with the PVC pipe. Some use the back bumper. I tried that and didn't like it.

I made a sewer hose holder out of a piece of 4" PVC sewer drain line. I mounted it crossway's under the frame attaching it to the frame with metal plumbers tape and capped the ends off with screw on fittings. Since the sewer drain line has holes in it I turned then down so any water would drain out. It has worked great for 4 years now and I think I have under $20 in it. You can also buy them pre-made and Camping World and Tweety's.



The water hoses are kept in a large Tupperware container in the front storage compartment. Be sure you also purchase a good water pressure regulator.

Thanks y'all. I will try using the bumper this weekend and see how it goes. If not then definitely doing the PVC thing.

I went to Camping World today and they didn't have the tube. Picked up the water pressure gauge. Still on the fence about the filter.

Hunter, heading to Canyon Lake this weekend to try it out for the first time.

Keith, what do you consider a good water pressure regulator and why? We simply use the brass in-line regulator...anything wrong with it? We used that type for ourother two campers too...no problems so for butjust curious...

Cowboy, I use the Watts 263A for $69.95 on the web site below. I like the fact I can keep it adjusted to 50 psi no matter what the pressure is at a park. We started out many years ago using a brass inline regulator and there is nothing wrong with them I just wanted something I had more control over.

dbleser, here are pics of our sewer hose holder using a5'' vinyl fence post with end cap and 1 being hinged. I found the bumper would not work with the ends on the hose. i think the fence post was 8' long and I cut it to 7'.

Welcome also. I ended up purchasing the EZ Hose Carrier (pvc holder) from Camping World. The reason why is it already had the screw caps and it has flat brackets on each end making it easy to mount under the unit. I think $24.99 I carry a second long one for extension in the rear bumper.Edited by: Papa-T
