I must be the luckiest guy in the world. We started Rving with an 02 keystone sprinter. The cheapest of the cheap. We made several trips to Colorado in this unit with no problems. We purchased a 2011 Kingston in the spring of 2010. Back to Colorado then to AZ for the winter and a trip to Glacier natl park and Yellowstone this summer. We are packing now for the winter in Az again. We had to have the Jenson replaced because the DVD player quit. This has been a pretty good unit for the money. I also found the trailair suspension broke when I was greasing the pins this summer. Had it welded and I put it back on. It is a very lite piece of metal to stand the twisting that is applied when you back into some spots. I agree that the Quality control must really be nonexitant for some of these units to get sold. How could one be ok and the next a piece of junk. Buyer beware.

I have

read the posts and was very wary to respond but here goes.
Are there some

problems? Yes! But the majority of cross roads owners do not post on here. Get

that? The Majority. Most buy the unit and just plain enjoy it. The only time

someone posts, on any forum, is that they have a question, or problem and would

like help or advise. When it comes to Cross Roads, when there is a problem it

is taken care of by one means or another. Unfortunately there are holes in the

system (read that bad dealers) and when that happens Cross Roads steps up and

has it repaired by the appropriate means. I have owned a 29rk since 2006 and

never had it back to the dealer. Period!
Can the units be better? Yes but there

is a cost. It can be money or time but there is a cost. The example of adding

$250.00 is a good one, it reflects the cost of absolute verification. I can

assure you that every manufacturer of anything has a certain trust in their suppliers;

this is sometimes violated and then addressed. In the mean time the company

takes a hit for "bad quality".
All of us now buy inferior quality

from China and accept it because of the "price", you know, "what

can you expect?" BBQ grills, socks, and everything else but what the heck

it was so "cheap" (and I emphasis "cheap") I can buy

another and another and another... until... I could have bought a V8!
Buy the

best quality you can afford. That in my opinion, is a Cross Roads product.
I

will now hear from those that are involved with QC and other things how this

and that are problems but let me tell you for a fact that I have been in

manufacturing for over 40 years and I find that US manufacturing is better than

almost all the rest of the "global market" in its quality and concern

for the end user.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /></span>

In my

opinion you get the best quality for the buck with a Cross Roads product versus

any other product, foreign or domestic.</span>

Well said Chris. Enough of this. People should buy what they want based on their best research and then understand that occassionaly something goes wrong. When it goes wrong hope your research told you that you picked a company that will stand behind their product, period. Crossroads will!

I witnessed a 5iver cut a corner a little short and pull right over a 3'high boulder this summer,I bet he needed some warrenty work too. You know some of the roads we travel aren't to smooth and these RVs really take a beating back there at 75 mph.

All I can say is wake up Elkart, Japan is talking about making rv's. They kicked the poop outa detroit for years and now we make a great American product. We work hard for our $$$ lets not settle for less. THATS THE WAY IT IS.

Interesting observation moparguy. For those who say TT are too heavy to ship I say don't forget where foreign cars (Japaneese) are made today. Right here in our great country.
We purchased a new 2012 ST30RE in September. We have been the proud owners for almost four months now. It's never been camped in and is currently at the dealer for more repairs. it's been round trip from the dealer to our home and back to the dealer. Approximately 90 miles.

New wheel bearings on one wheel.
Replaced a broken spring on one break assembly
Slide completely rebuilt (motors, guides, wiring harnesses) it leaked and flooded the rear of the TT because it was not aligned properly
Roof replaced do to roof decking staples backing out And puncturing the rubber roof
Today it's on it's way to the body shop. Apparently a screw on the inside is pushing through the fiberglass. So now they will cut a hole in the side of our brand new never used TT and remove the whatever it is and patch the hole.

American manufactures used to be better than this. Where has the craftsmanship and pride gone? To your point. It wouldn't take the Japaneese long to put the RV industry in a tailspin. Much like they did our auto industry. As I said in a previous post. The quality should always go in before the name ever goes on!
