I'm about to order a new Cruiser CF32BL and I have a question about the pillow top matress that comes as part of the Patriot package. Does anyone have an opinion on this matress? I know the plain factory matress that I laid on at the rv show was terrible so I was thinking about seeing if I can order it without one and save a few bucks to put towards a real matress.

Thanks

Clyde

We love ours its really comfortable!! It would be either that or a sleep number which you would have to get from them!!The stock ones are uncomfortable!

Made a huge difference to the stock mattress when we put a 2" memory foam topper on it; alot cheaper than a new mattress, but to each his own.

Buddhabob1, is that X in the street and X marks the spot...or is it " X, no RV parking"? LOL

Nice shine to the rig there!

I have the pillow top in my unit, it's not the same as the one you would buy in a store, we put memory foam on top and it seemed to help some but a "real" mattress isi in the very near future..

Our old Cruiser had a regular mattress in it and the PP came with a pillow top. To be honest we notice no difference in the two, they are both cheap. We did add a 3" mattress topper that is 5.5 lbs. density and that greatly improved the sleep comfort. We will be going to a Select Comfort mattress once we get ready to retire.

Do yourself a favor and go to a mattress closeout store or furniture warehouse type store. We did and we got a end of production King Koil model that is pillow topped with individual coils. Nice and I paid under a few hundred bucks.

Just spent the first weekend sleeping on the pillowtop mattress in the Patriot. We put a two inch memory foam on it. Slept great. Looking forward to sleeping there again.

We recently got this mattress from Camping World; http://www.campingworld.com/shopping...-74-x-8-/31451based on the good reveiws. Got it a couple of weeks ago when they were doing free shipping so saved a few $$'s. I must say, I like it better than the pillow top mattress we got a few months back for the house that cost 3X as much... Slept on it a couple of times already and much better than the original mattress. Can't wait for the trips we got planned the next few months. I might just go to bed early instead of the late nights sittin' around the camp fire...

My wife had a Sleep Number Bed in her house when we got married - I love both of them, wife and bed. So much so that I put a Sleep Number Bed in our new Seville Fifth Wheel.

The original Queen size bed had to go, terrible mattress quality for a Seville quality Fifth Wheel, not enough room for a 6'8" guy and a 6'1" wife, too much arms, elbows, legs, knees, and feet for a Queen bed.

Removed side cabinets from slide to enable extra width. Use book-shelk brackets to add wings to original Queen base to allow for 76" width on King Bed (length of 80" is the same). Added 3/8" plywood to lift-up platform (2X 38" X 78") to further support and match up to wings. And assembled KING size Sleep Number Bed with pump under left edge of bed next to power outlet.

Sleeps GREAT - wife happy !!!!!!!!!!

But tougher project than I originally thought - making wings strong enough to support my 400 pound weight when sitting on edge of bed.

Only down side was loss of leg clearance on side of bed - making the bed can be a pain.

Everything else was a gain. ( still waiting for wife to be in the mood to initiate the bed for final testing).
