The Crossroads website has a new button labeled "Redwood" at the bottom right today, and that goes to the new Redwood RV site where they say expressly state Redwoods are for full-timing. We might have been wrong about Thor not wanting to publically associate Redwood with Crossroads for advertising purposes.

I think that THOR bought Crossroads.

I saw one of the new Redwood's at the Ft. Worth RV show this past weekend. If you get a chance to check one out, I highly recommend it. They are very impressive. Also, I had heard that several of themanagement peoplefrom Carriage had come over to start up the Redwoods. As it turned out, the factory rep who was at the show used to be a factory rep for Carriage that I had met about a year ago. He told me that Thorhad beentrying to purchase Carriage and for whatever reason, it did not work out. When it didn't happen, Thor convinced several of the Carriage people to come start the Redwoods. He also told me they have some more floorplans in the works and the next floorplan introduced will be a little shorter in length than the current floorplans.

I wouldn't doubt they attempted to buy out Carriage. Thor has very deep pockets and had no problems paying for Heartland which is no small purchase! With those deep pockets plan "A" was likely to buy a established premium brand while plan "B" was no doubt to throw around their marketing/talent/checkbook power to design and build their own premium line.

Either way they appear to have a winner on their hands backed up by the former Carriage CEO, sales managers, and design folks.

That's pretty much it. Plus, I understand that cash was getting tight at Carriage.

Yes, Carriage has had a string of what I'd call "missed targets" with new products. They had a Domani, a Domani travel trailer, and a few other products that haven't been huge hits.
