We are likely going to be purchasing a ZF31BH. Can anyone offer their experience with these fifth-wheel units? It looks like the ZF31BH is a new model for 2013, so how have the other late model Zinger fifth wheel held up in the wild? I do intend on installing a hitch behind this camper to tow a small boat and enclosed trailer for a couple of Harley's.

We are still waiting on our camper, we put our down-payment down on the unit in January to hold the price. The dealer said he expected it in before the end of Feb. Still nothing, however they did get one in, but in a different color interior; that was a 2013. Now that we are through with March and we still haven't seen it, the unit may very well come in as a 2014 model they said and we are locked in at the agreed price based off the 2013 model. I hope we see it before the beginning of May, when we plan to start our camping season.

Seems like a long time to be waiting. I would think your dealer could make a call for status. I know sometimes once the unit is built, it takes a week or two to schedule the delivery driver for the trip to your dealer.

We just got word on our camper. They say it will be another 2-3 weeks before we can expect it and it will be a 2013. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what the label has printed on it for a manufacture date. I don't believe there are any significant changes between the 2013 and 2014 models. As far as the 2-3 weeks out yet, I guess it's alright since we still have some snow on the ground and everything is slop as it thaws. Our camping season starts on May 1st.

2013? Seems odd, dealer here has 2014 Zingers arriving.

Hi h2opumper,
I may have asked already but where in MN are you located and what dealer did you go with?
Was it pleasurelane RV?

That is where we purchased ours from last year.

I'd agree about it being a 2013 unless it's been sitting on the lot at the plant for awhile. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what the VIN shows.

It's finally ready to be picked up in the morning. It came in as a 2013 model. It sounds like the dealer is doing a good job getting it prepped. Looking forward to a good season now that it looks like mother nature is going to give us a summer.

Is there anything we should be looking for in our own inspection?

As far as the PDI goes, look at EVERYTHING. Turn it on, turn it off, move the slides, run the fridge, heater, A/C and pump. Crawl under, over and all around. Take a DVD and run it. plan on 2 -3 hours looking everything over. Take notes.

Congrats. Enjoy it. Videotape your pdi. If it turns on or off, opens or closes or moves then have them demo it and you return the demo. Check all caulking, climb on the roof. Operate every system including AC and heat.

Be prepared to have a punch list of issues that you find within the first few trips. Don't sweat it as even the best PDI misses sone stuff, I typically roll the sleeves up and fix minor issues myself. Best of luck!

Pleasureland RV in Ramsey was not pleasure for sure. If you got there take very good notes. And check every thing and don't pay them till you check every thing out!!!! They will say any thing to get you on your way. And have fun.
