Sorry for my brain freeze. I do not have a Reese brand hitch. I havean Equalizerthat has the 4-point sway control built in along with the WD. No chains, has bars. Have not had any trouble....

Sounds like you have done your homework. I have the sway control as well. It is cheap insurance. I would have that incorporated in the hitch. My truck has it as well.
