I was just thinking that maybe the holes were...

I was just thinking that maybe the holes were partially plugged and allowing some water to set in the case. Then when the compressor shuts off, you can hear the blades chopping water. Just a thought....

Check and make sure the drain holes are open and the condensation/water is able to get out.
