I stand corrected guys.
The receiver hitch on my 5er is NOT bolted to the frame, it's welded. I got off my lazy butt and went out in the shed and looked. The bumper is welded to a couple 2/4 junks...

Yes, the Sport came with a receiver hitch bolted to the frame. I looked at several in dealers lot when we were looking.
It was an option on our 26RK, and I got it.

I ordered our 5er with a hitch. To the best of my understanding it came right from CR with the hitch...

I have my canoe on a boat trailer occasionally. As far as feeling it back there, I don't. It probably doesn't weigh much tho. All tho, I guess I do load it down some. I would think you will be fine...
