Bob, you are totally correct. The reason I didn't instruct him to do that was it was apparent he was unfamiliar with the LP operation of the heater. Which could lead to a worse situation.

I have seen this on other rigs also. If it was mine, I would have it checked out by someone qualified in LP. In my opinion, it's burning to rich and there is the possibility of a fire.
