Art you should call the factory or your dealer to see what you can do. The thermostast on most hot waater tanks are not adjustable.

You should have gotten a manual for the hot water tank with the other paper work. Chrck and see if you have a mixing valve. Most hot water heaters do not have hand wheels for diverters.

If you have one of the new water heaters the yellow valve is the mixing valve, I beleive. It sounds like you may be putting too much cold in the mix causing the output to be luke warm.
