if you havent figured the manufactures yet ...they could not less about how we can get on the roof to maintain it....they use he thinnest luan wood so it can curve to the roof line and keep weight...

I think one reason for the thin ply on the roof is that is is hard to curve thicked plywood or mdf to form to the curved roof. They have a hard time keeping the staples in as it is , can you imagine...

The roof is only 3/16 luan plywood , so only step on 16" centers where the rafters are . put a piece of 1/4 or 3/8 plywood down first to spread out weight.
