Yes , indicators will show full while converter...

Yes , indicators will show full while converter is charging . Show actual state of charge when only on battery . Will show full when hooked to running truck.
You may have battery with little water...

If you are plugged into elec, the battery status will always show full. You must have a dead battery or it is not hooked up. Get a multimeter and see if you indeed have 12-13 volts at the battery.
