Specifically, what would you change? Tapered roller bearings are used in many, many applications. My neighbors Hitchhiker has the "Neverlube" Dexter hub assemblies...I've heard they'll fail too....

To each his own.....I've had one bearing failure in my life. I repacked my boat trailer bearings many years ago, and my Dad insisted I didn't torque it right. He tightened to his liking.....smoked...

If you were me, you'd realize those bearing are just fine. You do realize that many new vehicles have non serviceable wheel bearings huh? What you gonna do then? Change the bearing assembly...

Never had an issue lifting one wheel. The equalizer and spring allows enough flex to lift it. Of course, at my age, I plan on using my cell phone.

That's the way I do it too. No way I'm gonna lift the whole side of the RV to change one tire. I've never understood the manufacturers position on this.
