If that is the case, then why does my 6.5' bed not have a problem with the Pullrite slider? Like I said, the distance from the rear axle to the bumper is the same on all Ford trucks 150 thru 350's. ...

If you don't have tailgate to rv clearance, I believe the hitch is not installed in the correct position.
