Clean the end of it and you should be able to suck air through it and you shouldNOT be able to blow air through it.If you can blow air at all it is bad and will letgas through.

I just replaced mine under the bathroom sink last...

I just replaced mine under the bathroom sink last weekend. It had glue in it and it would not seal properly.
