I suspect the hitch was made in China like most items on our trailers. Maybe the Chinese had a very old translation dictionary.

This is the label on my factory hitch installed on my 2010 26ft Cruiser 5th wheel.

Sorry unable to get image to load.

The label states max tongue weight is 300# and max GVWR for trailer is 3000#
