So We ordered our unit about six weeks ago or so.
At the time we were told 4-6 weeks for delivery.
Contacted my dealer and was told one showed up but it was the not our unit as the interior was the wrong color. Ours was coming soon.
Can the dealer get an accurate time that the unit will roll off the line? I realize that there is also transit time but I would like to get a general idea.

Or does anyone know if Cross Roads can tell someone when a unit is built?

As usual, thanks all!!!

CR should be able to give the dealer an estimated final assembly date.

We ordered ours 5 weeks ago yesterday, Thursday April 5th. My dealer told me the day that mine went for final inspection and to the shipper.(tues, April 3rd). After it is in the shippers hands, not sure if it can be tracked easily until it arrives at the dealer.

Ours supposedly came off assembly line March 1st (2011). We took delivery on March 28th - unit came in the week before. You may only get a final assembly date. Vibe I get from most folks is about 2-3 weeks from final date to delivery.

We only have a couple weeks until we open ours up...can't wait!

CR can tell the dealer when the unit is scheduled to begin production and the date it is to be completed. Ours was three days in August, 2009.

I've heard, but can not verify that delivery can really take awhile. I think they are delivered by independent drivers. Does anyone know if this is true? My dealer said at times they will send mechanics/and other employees after units if they are not being delivered fast enough.
Anyone know how this works?

My unit showed up yesterday at the dealer.
The soonest time to pick it up is the 23rd....
Dealer must be busy.

How long should I allow for the PDI?

Two weeks sounds like a long wait. They must not need the check in the bank! Ours came in on a Wednesday and they had it ready on Friday....took delivery on Saturday AM. On a positive side, anticipation is awsome! Have a grrreat summer!

IMHO, the PDI should take as long as it has to, to make you comfortable. And should you have questions afterward, the dealer should be available. Don't forget that Crossroads is also available most, if not all the time. I didn't do it, (I should have) but it has been said that one should have a cam-corder available at the PDI, and if you have 'little ones' don't have them tagging along. Jus' sayn'....

The dealer claims they are booked solid for pick ups...
Guess that must be a good thing, for the at least.
Not a big deal to wait.
But it is kinda killing me...
