My brother's family and ours are thinking about attending the Branson Rally this year.
Having never been to one, we are wondering what to expect. Any infomation as to what goes on and what to bring along would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Well last year we had a group breakfast and dinner. We all went into town to see the sights (not organized) and we sit a talk about places to go, things we have seen and we visit other riggs to see what everyone has done for upgrads and such. And if you are really lucky Denny will keep you up till 3 am!

Yep, just get me some beer, I'll stay as long as you want. No really, I don't mind at all. Just ask Chris, we put in a lot of quality bonding time after everyone went to bed!

Below is the information for the '09 Mid-America rally. Hope to see some people sign up soon. I paid a deposit for the sites, but its been kinda slow on the registration side!
The 2009 Branson Mid-America CrossRoads RV Rally returns June 5-7 2009. The cost of the rally for two people coming in Friday night staying till Sunday remains $132 which includes Saturday morning breakfast and Saturday evening supper. There is a page on my website http://www.freewebs.com/crossroadsrvrally/09bransonrally.htm for the Mid-America rally which is open to all RV owners. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to e-mail or call me. My contact information is at the bottom of the webpage along with links to the campground/facility information and the registration page. We will not be able to reserve specific sites for the rally, but we will be together as a group. I want to thank those that attended the '08 rally, and hope to see you return in '09.

Denny, a quick question, I read about the Branson rally, it said for all Crossroads RV owners, is that ONLY Crossroads owners, or would SOB owners be welcome? I see that we are only 45 minutes away fromĀ*Susan'sĀ*cousins, the place where you and your family stopped and visited with us. We maybe would be able to make the rally for the weekend, then head on down toĀ*Fisherman'sĀ*Haven Resort and spend the rest of the following week there. Would that be acceptable? Just looking at our options.

Mark, I edited my post on 1/12/09 to include "all RV owners". It would be great to see you and Susan again. If you don't make it, Chris and will call you like we did last year. Ahh, I can taste the 6% beer now!!

Denny, it is good to hear anyone can come. We were brainstorming today on what to do this summer, since we can't go to Yellowstone (long story), and thought it would be nice to visit with the group from the forum at the rally. Sounds like you all had a lot of fun last year. I think we will really try and push to make it happen this time. We will see!

Last year we parked on a row on our own. This year I'll request to be beside Chris(chrisnan23), he tends to like staying up late drinking a few cold ones catching up on the old times. If you want to be beside someone, the campground will accommodate.

We had a great time last year. We went back to Branson in Oct. and the campground was great Again Great place to stay and close to all the attractions. This was our first rally and we had a great time. We are planning to go again Denny and will send our registration soon. Great place, Great People, can't miss and you will have fun.

I have talked with Denny, and he feels you guys would be okay with us attending the Branson Rally, I hope that is the case, because me and Susan are looking very forward to meeting up with some of this group, you are the best people hands down, so if my job holds out, and I still have a camper this June, looks like we will be there.
Ever thinkĀ*aboutĀ*putting something together in Yellowstone? I would like to see it before it becomes a volcano.

Denny,
We have made reservations at ABC for Monday thru Thursday pm....They indicated they would put us in a site so that we would not have to move again on friday to be with the crossroads group...they were very nice to deal with....see you there

Things can and do change so quickly. Last week at work, we were all told that our jobs seem pretty secure, and they went on to add, that since our vacation time is being impacted so much due to the Boeing Company strike last year, that they are giving the employees more days of vacation. Our plans before the Boeing strike was to go to Yellowstone, then that changed because we were going to be so short on time and thought going on a shorter trip like to Branson would work. But since my company is giving us more vacation time, we have decided to continue our plans to visit Yellowstone park in June. If anyone is up in Yellowstone between June 21 thru 28, give us a shout!!Ā*

Good question?? We are coming in thursday, and when we called ABC, theyhadn't heard from Denny and asked the same question. We are still going, we enjoy the area and the shows. It is a good campground to stay.
