Lloyd, I had one of those when we owned the Cruiser. I never had to use it but wanted to have it with us just in case.

Called a Dog Bone and can pick them up at Camping World of other RV dealers. I have seen them at Wal Mart before cost about $12 to $16 . Used mine several times.

It's in the tool box if I ever need it, along with the 20 amp adapter.

Is there an easy way to go from 50 amp service to 20 amp?Until this year I used the regular 50 amp chord with a 50/30 amp dog leg plugged into that. Then Iplugged a 30/20 adapter extension into the 30 amp adapter and used a 20 amp extension chord from the house. Pretty standard set up, and a lot easier than I can describe it.
We just had the second A/C/Heat Pump installed in the bedroom so, as soon as I get dry enough conditions, (10 days!?!?), I'm going to run a 50 amp service from the house to the driveway, so I won't have to worry about adapters anymore. (I ran the a/c off of my generator if needed at home before this.)
What I'd like to add to everything is a 50/20 amp adapter for places where I want to set up but can't run the generator. (A couple of relative's homes, where we can fit in the driveway for an overnighter for example.) But, the only 50/20 adapter I've found thus far is $100.00!!. Sure, I can use what I have, but on cold mornings, that 50 amp line is all but impossible to loop. Any suggestions?

I am also considering installing a 2nd A/C unit ,( 2008 mk33 w/ 30 amp service). Can you give me some idea of what to expect? IE---price, install cost, extra parts that were not expected, any other tips or observations will be very much appreciated.
thank you
Steve Rees

no I did not, I would have had to improve my 4000w generator to a 5500 or 7000w. We do over 50% of our camping w/o any hook-ups, and the cost of generators was too much to handle at this time. Maybe later.

We have two and if the 50a circuit is not available use the one in the living area during the day and the one in the bedroom at night.

Conntek makes a 50 Amp female x 15 Amp male (14422 RV Pigtail) that you could use to power the frig, TV, converter. A little pricey at $54.95 on Amazon, but about the cheapest I found anywhere.

Guess I was lucky. My dealer included the adapters when he sold me my rig.

Did you have the second a/c installed at time of purchase or was it an aftermarket installation?

Big difference between the Connectek and the Home Depot. The Connectek plugs into the RV and eliminates the 50A cord and allows use of a 15A extension cord. With the HD version you still have to lug around that huge 50A cord. I have 2 of the Connectek's, one that goes to a 30A RV plug and the other goes to a regular 15A. I use the 15A at the house when all I want to do is keep the fridge going and the battery charged. The 30A RV is for when we go out and don't need both AC's or a campground with only 30A service. I have a 30' 30A RV extension cord which is a lot easier to haul around (left over from the last TT).
My electrical tub is filling up, stock 50A cord, 50A extension cord, 30A extension cord, 15A extension cord. And adapters to about any way I want to go.
