Hi Corke -

Mobil homes use a plastic/vinyl material that comes in a few colors, it is modular and snaps together in a frame to hold it into place. Any local mobil home supply company couldd help you and perhaps give you a price on getting it done.

Thank You for the information. I called the one mobile home place and they want to charge me the same as doing a moible home. I'm afraid to do it myself, do you know if you buy itfrom them if it's easy to install?

If you don't want to order online, most Lowes Home Improvement stores carry it as a stock item.

If you get this you may also want to get some foam insulation to put behind it.

I would not put any insulation behind it and would provide plenty of ventilation. With the moisture that comes out of the ground you would have a giant mushroom/mold farm under your trailer in a short time. It's very easy to install. You screw a track to the bottom outside edge of the trailer and place a corresponding track along the ground. The track along the ground can be held in place with stakes on the backside and can be screwed to the stakes. The panels can be cut and snapped in between the two channels. If necessary you may use some small sheet metal screws to hold the panels in place. The panels are about the same as the panels used for a soffit on a house. They are available in either solid or vented in plastic or aluminum. I would use the vented.

We have the FIBERGLASS body model. We too are looking for ideas on skirting ours, but realize we can't attach anything to the fiberglass body. Has anyone else skirted a fiberglass unit?

We are thinking we may need to skirt 'around' without really attaching to the unit.

Just read your post about the skirting on your fiberglass model. Did you get it done? If so, how did it turn out- did you have to attach it to the wall?

We purchased a gray lattice work from MENARDS and the upper / lower slider track. And lots of rebar posts. We plan to put the rebar posts in the ground and then lay the bottom track and secure that with long u-shaped staples (not sure what they are called) then will cut the lattice, slide in the lower track and secure with those u-shaped things. Then attach a top slider track to finish off in areas that are more viable.
The lattice work will lay behind the frame of the camper.
Have not yet installed it as we are thinking to move the camper to another site.
