Brought our brand new 2011 Cruiser 325CK home about 10 days ago behind our new Ram 2500 diesel. They're both sitting in the driveway just taunting us. Would love to take the truck and trailer out for a weekend shakedown cruise someplace, but time doesn't seem to be on our side for a few weeks yet.

This is our first fifth-wheel trailer, but we've had a couple of regular travel trailers and a pop-up camper when the kids were still at home. This one, though, is our pre-retirement present to ourselves.

So, since we can't take any trips yet, we're contenting ourselves by stocking the trailer with the necessities of life -- dishes, pots and pans, vacuum cleaner, blu-ray player, sheets and pillow cases, etc. Our dog has already made herself at home in it, getting comfortable on the bed and in the middle of the living area's floor.

We have a few weekends away planned for the trailer in June and July. Now it's just a matter of getting to that point.

Camp Driveway! I like that. A few friends have suggested we ought to spend a night out there, too.

I was wondering did you get the thermo windows added to unit, when you ordered it or did unit come from dealers lot? If you have thermal pane windows are they sliders or crank opens. JIMAR

Just got the single pane windows. Unit came off the dealer’s lot and was

a “leftover 2011 model that we bought in early 2012, so we pretty much took

what was available.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /></span>

</span>

Truthfully, we hadn’t planned to buy until next fall or maybe even next

winter. But, given improvements in the economy, we figured prices might not be

this good again and this trailer had everything we really wanted and nothing we

didn’t want. </span>

</span>

We got lucky with our truck in the same way. There was a leftover 2011

on the lot that was exactly what we wanted at a really good price. So we jumped

at both things probably a year earlier than we had originally planned.</span>

</span>

It means settling for what they had on the lot, but since it was just

what we wanted anyway, it worked out. &lt;grin&gt;</span>

</span>

Welcome and enjoy your new unit. Not sure where you are located but consider coming to the Rally in July...I too just got a new unit and feel it is the best way to get to put a face to the names on here...and they are very helpful trust me. Again, congrats.

Congratulations on your new camper and truck, it's a perfect match for the Cruiser. Driveway camping, or take it over to a friend/relative's house is a great way to find out what you need to stow on board for a longer trip. Welcome to the forum.

Congrats on the new set up and like you I just saw our Cruiser on a dealer lot and just stooped to look because of The cool front cap , but we already had a new { almost 7000 mils } 2012 Roamer and I thought it would be safe to JUST look ! WRONG !!! We loved it from the second we steeped inside and the more we looked the better it got . And after stopping to JUST LOOK lol, about five more time we worked a great deal and like you { RITE TIME -RITE PLACE } LOL

Like others have Camp Drive Way is a great way to not have those { I thought YOU put that it??} We pull ours out of the TOY BOX and set up mostly to get our little furry buddy used to hisother home LOL Have fun as life is short .
