Now that I have had time to crawl over, under and through our new unit I have a few observations. Although the finish of the ST Reserves gets a lot of compliments, the "fit" leaves room for improvement.
Namely, when you get your unit, get out the phillips head screw driver and spend time snugging all the screws. When I say snugging I actually mean several turns to get them to seat. Its not that they backed off, they were never ran home.
Also, if there is any wiring visible, get out the pack of zip ties and get ready to do some major tidying up. Our unit has the drop down TV from the rooftop and the wiring was a mess..
The bracket they used for the drop down was also about a 1/4 inch too short so the swivel portions of the tv was very hard to operate. I had to make some shims to drop it down. Now it swings nicely.

I noticed a few other things that could have been taken care of during assembly. But I know, I know. That would have added a lot of time to the build. Perhaps as much as 10 minutes.
Like it is often said. Just do it right the first time.

That being said. So far nothing would warrant a trip to the dealer. I believe that we have to almost expect a few small issues that can be taken care of at home.

I will see how the first shakedown trip goes this weekend hopefully.

Isn;t that the usual case.....every new unit we have had needed TLC no matter what we paid for it. My wife and I work at a campground for last 10 years and we see about everything made and believe me it is the same for a cheaper small pull behind as it is for a half million motor home.....things will need to be tweeked or fixed...period.
