Dewinterize and shakedown trip.

Just dewinterized and thought I would take my TT for a weekend shakedown trip. It is scheduled for a trip to the dealer on tue.

Had a good time. Got a site by the lake. Caught a bunch of fish. Had some good eats. Weather got real windy on Sat. Came home today and OMG was it windy. Several times I worried that it may blow me over.

Good news is I didn't find much wrong. Knock on wood. I had an issue with the electric water heater. It never did work. Pulled panel and sure enough loose connection. Works now. They are going to replace my awning lights. I also have a warped cabinet door in bathroom. It was that way when I got it but I thought was just a latch issue.

I also asked about my stereo. I have the Jenson 965 installed and the 970 is on my buildsheet. No real issues with it, but I can't get sound of tv when watching a movie and there are no speakers in the bedroom. They are supposed to look at it. Any suggestions?

I have a small place in the upper right corner where it looks like my front cap may be starting to fade. Depends on the light whether you can notice it or not. On the phone they did acknowledge it was a problem for that year model. Will let you know what they say.

Other than that, they said they would check all the caulking, seals, and such. Only taking it in because I want to get it in before it runs out of warranty.

The Jensen 970 has been discontinued. Tell them you want the 975. A great thing about the 975 is that it has a rca input in the back. That makes is possible for TV audio to come through the Rv's speakers and there's no easy way to do it with the 965. The only input on the 965 is the AUX jack on the front. So there are no dedicated TV inputs.

Thanks Mark. I thought I had heard that from previous postings. The 975 also has a weather alert function too I believe?

Picked up my camper today. Cabinet door and awning lights had to be ordered. Will make an apt when they come in. They inspected the roof and fixed leak above awning. No answer on my stereo yet. Cap is just starting to fade but will be fixed this winter after the season under warranty.

Overall very pleased with my camper and dealer. Heading out this weekend for Giant City State Park.
