New to Crossroads AND camping!

Hello everyone!! So excited, couldn't sleep a wink last night! It's better than Christmas around here today! We pick up our 2014 Sunset Trail 29SS this morning. We'll probably be camping in our driveway tonight. It took 3 months of research and comparison shopping, but we feel confident that we chose the best TT for our family.

We are BRAND SPANKING NEWBIES to camping, as we've been "up north" cabin owners for years - which saddled us down to one location every weekend we could manage to get away. Don't get me wrong, we still love it there...but we're excited to break out of our comfort zone to meet new people and see new places with the kids while they are still young enough to want to come!

I love the friendliness and wonderful advice (and mod pics) in this forum! Can't wait to get to know all of you a little better. BTW, if you have any favorite campgrounds in Michigan, please share and we'll add them to our "bucket list!"

Congrats on the new trailer. IF you haven't already done your Pre Delivery Inspection make sure you are thorough. Make them show you everything and how it works and be picky about anything that concerns you. There's some good info here on the PDI and some have even videotaped it so they have a record.

Congrats and welcome to the friendly camping world. We also live in Michigan (Grosse Ile) and we too bought a new (used) Cruiser last October and haven't used it yet. We had a pop up and a Trailmanor before this TT and we love the Michigan State campgrounds. Custer State Park, Huffmaster State Park, Straits State Park, Sleeper State Park, Harwick Pines State Park. These are beautiful parks with plenty of hiking trails and post card scenery. Hope this helps
