Post Shower drain leak or grey water leak

Hi fellows travelers. We are new to the RV world. Three weeks ago we purchased our used travel trailer and started a road trip for Detroit, through DC and Ft Walton Beach on our way to Del Rio Tx. The AF PCS'd us to Del Rio.

After living in the RV for three weeks we've found a few issues, most of which are easy to fix. One has me concerned. After our son's bath I saw a leak under the trailer. I was able to find some water inside the under skirting and that it appeared to be dripping from the floor of the trailer. Inside, the shower water supply lines are dry and so in the drain from the tub past the S- trap.

But just below/past the S-trap the insulation is wet. The flooring under the tub is dry.

So, I think the leak is in the drain line after the S-trap or where the drain line feeds into the gray water tank.

Here are some details:
2005 Crossroads Cruiser 32' travel trailer
Leak only happened after we pulled the plug to drain the bath tub and stopped.
Wet are is the insulation below the floor.

Is this there a history of a leak in this area?
Is it possible to fix on my own (I'm handy, but not a certified mechanic)
If so, should I approach this by removing the tub or grey water tank?

Thanks for reading and helping out a new guy.

If you are handy, and you can get to the leaking pipe, you should be able to cut out the bad pipe and reconnect with two connectors and abs pipe.
If you don't feel comfortable, a local plumber can repair it for you.

Good luck.

Thanks. I'm going to dig in and give it a try. I'll let you know how it turns out.

That could be the simple answer. Found a void in my shower caulk were the walls meet the pan. I removed all the caulk around the pan inside shower and recaulked. Check that before you open up the bottom.

I did find the poor/incomplete caulking. That is fixed. I also tightened the drain pipe fixtures from the bottom of the tub. We will test it tonight...

We filled the bathtub and then drained it. No leaks! This test was to prove the previous problem was fixed. Next we will check for leaks after showers. We hope to see the caulking has fixed the small leak from showers.

The next projects are sealing cracks in the exterior caulking and replacing the seals on the slide out. It doesn't rain frequently down in this part of Texas. So I should have those projects done by the end of the week.

Thanks again for all the help!
