How did you mount your TV's?

No I am not asking about mounting your tow vehicle like a prized fish.
I have a 2014 z-1 301bh

I would like to mount a TV in the main room and I am not sure of the recommended methed. I saw some people mount a piece of plywood between two studs. But I was not sure if that was necessary?

I would also like to mount a small 22 to 25" TV in the bunk house for the kids. But with the storage area it seems like mounting it where marked will not allow all 4 bunks a view of the tv. Any recommendations here? Some type of pull out swivel bracket? Or just mount it on the door and reinforce it?

We used this bracket in our Zinger for the swivel TV:

Bunk room TV we left foot on and it sits on top of wardrobe...but your setup doesn't have that option.

That TV mount looks like it would catch two studs. So now I need to find out if these are wood or channel.

No thoughts on the bunk house with the cabinet they put in these?

We leave the TV at home and enjoy the parks and people we go out to visit.

I was not worried about having a TV when I bought this one. We are camping for a week and had storms yesterday. So when we are stuck inside in bad weather and no fire I think a TV would help. Especially with the two boys, it's amazing what cartons can do for a 3 year old.

Yep even with no signal from the antenna. On bad weather days it sure helps to have a few DVD's on hand. They help to keep the young grand children (2, 3 and 4 years of age) from climbing the walls.

Amazing how a carton can entertain a child. Really want to keep him busy give him a box while he watches cartoons! Just funnin ya. Reminded me when my son was little. I remember one Christmas he had all these toys but played forever in a big box.

A box or a clothes basket, priceless. When they are using there imagination and growing is so nice. The video game addiction our kids are going threw these days is unreal.

Trust me when we get a big box we can't throw it away until it is worn out.

The video games are crazy and IMO is not good for our kids as well as a lack of proper parenting. My son was just telling me the other day he was playing "Fast and Furious" (I think?) You can kill cops, break in to people houses and kill them, go to strip clubs and have sex with them. This has a mature rating. Good idea to watch over them every now and then when they play. Some of these things are not advertised but are secret areas they can some how open.

Didn't mean to side track your thread, but earlier post just reminded me when my son was little.

Can relate to the boxes !!!

Remember when I used to have to go into the bank to do some updates 20 years ago... would take my little daughter with me, get a box that paper would come in, cut out a 6 x 6" slot in it and set it upside down on the floor --- she would slide her legs under HER 'desk', so she could work like dad

worked out well for entertainment until I was at the console and heard the telltale "Pffffffttttt...." of a IBM mainframe FBA device powering down behind me and turned around to see her 'playing' with the "colored lights" (the blinking access and power buttons!!!!!)

All I could do was giggle, shutdown for the day, and go home to play with her !!

I'll post a picture shortly - but in short we wanted a TV in the mail area and one in the front bedroom (its a 2014 Z-1 25 BHS).

So to feel a bit better about the install I purchase 2 basic, but identical, TV mounts. I found the mounting block in the wall, leveled and marked the holes and drilled completely thru the wall popping out the other side.

I then installed the mounts "back to back" for lack of a better word using nuts, washers (flat and lock) and 2 1/2" bolts. I felt that an install like this will be more secure than just screws in the wall block as the two will be pulling on each other which should make for a more solid install.

Ill post a pic or two ASAP - especially if anyone is interested in the way I installed them.

Pictures below - hopefully these help. I thought it was a good way to mount since they both 'pull' on each other:

Bedroom Side:

Living Area Side (exact opposite as the bedroom side using the same bolts):

On your model in the bedroom was the sticker to mount TV directly behind the sticker in the living room? I like your thoughts here. In mine the bedroom has the sticker to mount the TV in the upper right corner.

The stickers were not back to back...there is another block in the wall closer to the corner. Since they both are full thickness I figured this was best and easiest.
