Since the Rushmore is similar to a Seville, I was wondering if anyone had installed (hardwired) a surge protector. If so, where did you put it and do you have any pics of the installation? Thanks.

Hardwired Surge Protector

Say, Triker. Did you ever get your surge protector installed? I have a new 2015 Rushmore Washington and just purchased the Progressive Industries HW50C Electrical Management System and am trying to find a good place to install it. My unit is quite new and I am not yet sure how the power inlet cable is routed, but know that it comes into the coach at the rear near the bedroom. The unit is generator ready, so there is a transfer switch already wired in the front battery compartment. The unit is in storage right now, but I am hoping to get some ideas of where to start with the installation. Also fairly sure I will need to purchase some additional cable for the installation, but every where I have looked for the cable they want to sell me a whole roll, or a minimum of 50 feet. Probably will only need 2-3 feet or so. Any information you, or anyone else can provide will be appreciated.

Near converter would make sense that is generally located near breaker/fuse panel.
Don't rush to buy xtra cable I was able to pull nearly 4 feet of cable out of the wall.
Here is what I did http://www.crossroadsowners.com/foru...ead.php?t=6859

Hope mine will be that easy. Not sure where my converter is, but I know it is not adjacent to the fuse box. My fuse box is located on the forward living area wall below the control panel with no access panels. I think it may be located under the bed inside a box near where the ac shore power line enters. If so, that will require disassembly of the bed frame box to gain access, and then bending like a pretzel to work on it.

If your converter was under your bed, I would think you would know it. Unless they have it well isolated under there, it would drive you nuts when it start running at night. Not that those things should have to run that much at night, but I think the chances of it happening are there.

Try turning on all the lights and every thing in the trailer you can think of. You should be able to locate it when it starts humming.
