I have seen some great pictures from the Fiesta, but I have not seen many suggestions on places to RV. I have never dry camped and not sure if I want to do this for 3-4 days while at the Fiesta.

Anyone with some good stories or suggestions.

Thanks

We've stayed at the American RV Park on the west side of Albuquerque a couple of times. Relatively nice Good Sam park with a swimming pool and playground. Friendly staff and well stocked store. Easy access from I-40.

went to the fiesta 3 years ago and had a wet site.....water/30amp service. they were sufficient. Also had a honey wagon pumping the tanks for $20.00. Free shuttle service to the ballon launch site...can't remember the gate fee price. I was glad I got a site at the fiesta campground...the traffic is horrible from 6AM - 10 AM and early evening. However, you must call for a reservation NOW. Go online to get the info. By the way, one of the best trips I ever made... a shutter bug'ds delight. plan the trip to get you to the campground mid afternoon for checkin. Can't help you with campgrounds enroute..stayed at military cg's. couple of nice KOA cg's in Tenn and one in Ok City right off rte 40.

We are 4th on the waiting list for the Presidents Park at the Fiesta. I have been told that many cancel before July to avoid the additional cost, so we are in hopes of getting a site reserved by then.

We will look at the military CG enroute because I'm retired Coast Guard and will use them as needed.

Thanks for your suggestion Walt.

We are looking forward to this trip, as this will be our longest trip so far.
